welcome to the midnight library

I am a writer and creator by instinct and by choice. What began as a restless, imaginative childhood has matured into many forms, most of them self-taught. Graphic design. Photography. Story. I am drawn to learning the long way around, and I have spent the last eighteen years refining these instincts as a marketer across a range of industries.
In 2016, my work carried me into architectural photography, where curiosity quickly became devotion. A family member challenged me to do more than make beautiful images. To document. To remember. To let language stand beside the photograph and give it breath. Almost every image you see here is mine, and every word is an attempt to hold time still, just briefly.
I grew up in the frame of a camcorder, following a father figure who believed moments were worth keeping. I resisted it then. I cherish it now. Recently receiving those recordings in digital form offered me an unexpected inheritance: proof that memory survives when someone bothers to record it. I want that for my children. That desire, paired with a lifelong love of reading, drew me back to creative writing with intention.
The pieces housed here are born of love, worry, ache, hope, and attention. They are not polished for performance, but placed with care.
Stay awhile
And welcome to The Midnight Library
