Welcome to The Midnight Library!
I’m a writer and creator. My creative journey began as an imaginative child that has since grown and taken shape in many artistic forms. I’m self-taught in graphic design and photography, which speaks to my love of continued education and learning new skills. I’ve honed these and other aptitudes as a marketer in a variety of industries over the last 18+ years.
Photography and My Creative Writing Journey
In 2016, my work led me to architectural photography. I fell into a curiosity that grew into a passion. A family member inspired me to not only create beautiful images, but also to document these moments in time alongside a narrative. These words breathe life and memory into a still photograph.
I grew up for many years with a father figure who loved capturing moments on his camcorder. Despite feeling it to be a bit of an ever-present nuisance in adolescence, I recently received copies of these memories saved to digital that provide me a glimpse into my past. I want that for my children. My gift to them is also what propelled me to renew my interest in creative writing; that and my intense love of reading the writing of others.
The entries contained within the pages of this site are works of love, pain, worry, hope, compassion and so much more. I hope you enjoy your visit to The Midnight Library.
I live and work from my home in Minnie-St. Paul.
But I can create from anywhere. Questions? Comments? Concerns? Stories to share? I’d love to hear from you.
“But people themselves alter so much, that there is something new to be observed in them for ever.”
