brick by brick i built a home
placing each one with such care
for the purpose of stability
sheet by sheet i built these walls
each panel placed with intention
in order to provide safety within
pane by pane i placed this glass
so as to see the world outside
to share views of beauty without
piece by piece i placed our things
in such a way to feel like home
a place where lonely lives no more
for this will forever hence be
your and my sanctuary
