the wish
magic fell once
down to the ground
she picked it up quickly
with no one around
despite no instruction
she knew what to do
she wished for perfection
though, perfection to whom?
her life was thus altered
some parts did improve
but the truth of the magic
perfection never came true
in life, she still struggled
so she blamed someone else
the trouble she saw
she couldn’t see in herself
the idea of magic
with all it can offer
doesn’t mean it won’t take
and cause one to suffer
and so she decided
to put magic back
if it wouldn’t bring good
couldn’t keep her on track
she’d rather live life
on only her terms
she took back control
and took lessons she learned
turns out the solution
gave all that she sought
lending truth in reality
that can never be bought
chaos and hardships
bring with them light
the brighter it shines
shows a clear line of sight
truth be told
she never needed the help
all along the magic
lay inside of herself
